 Feeling really uninspired with the high streets end of summer sales and limited new collections I looked endlessly through style blogs yesterday for some new inspiration. And it appears that the men of the streets are stealing the show. Covered in tattoos with their graphic prints, camouflage turn ups and modern tailoring its nice to see some alternative style emerging. Currently loving all things oversized its time for me to route through the mens collections and follow these guys with original pieces and laid back style. Would also love to know where these guys go in the spare time.

Anyone that knows me will know how much I enjoy celebrating my birthday and the presents that come with it. With the help of Daddy and some very generous friends I have received some rather nice presents this year. Starting with my flatforms, I recently blogged about how much I wanted a pair and luckily for me, I got two! Both from Urban Outfitters, one brogue and one sandal, both of which make my legs deceivingly skinnier, so I love. With the weather being so nice I decided to opt for some colour purchasing my bargain vintage Lacoste jumper, my lime green top, and bright shades of nail polish. In need of some new pieces of jewellery I went straight to Topshop and got the stacked triangle rings and spiked earrings. And finally my love for Levis has grown, after purchasing some new cut off denim shorts and a vintage denim jacket that I have been searching high and low for. So overall I think I did pretty well, just a shame I have to wait another year to be spoilt again. 

tie dye

It’s that time of year when that trend that you hate to love is back; tie dye. With summer soon on its way expect to see a mixture of pastel tones and vibrant shades soaked onto every item of clothing imaginable. Whether its shorts, blouses or fishtail plaits, I cant help but want to get involved in some old school tie dying.

With my birthday next month, I’m now currently on the prowl for potential presents, starting with a pair of flatforms. I bought a pair from Topshop last summer and they are the comfiest heels I own. I’ve spotted a few that Id quite like but I’m mainly looking for a brogue style shoe that I can wear during the day.

After viewing the Three Floor collection in November, I knew I had to buy their stunning D’VIL Shirt. Falling in love with its embellished collar and asymmetric cut, it was my well-deserved early Christmas present. I have been so busy with work and this is the first chance I’ve had to photograph it. Along with my killer new shoes boots, that are painfully gorgeous, I couldn’t wait to blog this look. Going to Berlin on Monday, this might have to be an essential outfit to debut. Rucksack Time

Ive literally been looking for a rucksack for ages now, and I keep on seeing people wearing really nice ones, but I'm yet to find one. And the ones I do seem to like are a ridiculous price. These are some of my favourites Ive seen whilst stalking other blogs, would preferably like a leather one, but definitetly wouldnt turn down a Chanel rucksack if there's any cheap ones knocking about. Going to Berlin in just over a week and I could really do with one (to look like the ultimate tourist) whilst wondering the streets, anyone know where I could get a cheap leather rucksack from?

Ets Callatay

Whilst visiting LNCC store last month I stumbled across these amazing shoes. Of course I had to try them on and much to my surprise they werent terribly uncomfortable or hard to walk in. Instantly falling in love with them I came home and reviewed the possibilty of me purchasing a pair, however when priced between £600-£900, I'm not holding my breath. With each pair taking twenty five hours to hand make from start to finish in Paris, these shoes are worth the investment. Forget Jeffrey Campbell, the Ets Callatway collection are the ones to look out for this season.

LDN: Dazed and Confused

Whilst we were in London we made sure we crammed in as much as possible, including the Dazed and Confused exhibition at Somerset House. Im really glad we made it to the exhibition because in true Dazed and Confused style they displayed some of their most contreversal pieces of imagery. The exhibition led you through the magazine decade by decade, along with two rooms dedicated to the memory of Alexander Mcqueen and the ideas he contributed to Dazed and Confused. The last room based on Fashion-Able, a concept by Alexander Mcqueen and photographed by Nick Knight was the most inspiring to me. The photos were of people with varying physical disabilities, a topic that many people would be scared to tackle in the fashion industry. Only a designer like Alexander Mcqueen would be brave enough to suggest and execute such a sensitive subject matter. I read further into this shoot and McQueens aim was to show that our "preconceptions of beauty are too narrow by far, and to prove that all those cast – painstakingly and predominantly through charitable organisations – were lovely in their own entirely individual way." It is work like this that demonstrates what a talented and inspirational designer Mcqueen really was. If you get chance I would definately recommend a visit to the exhibition.
