the moon.

I was recently sent a link to Plog, an independant publication designesd and curated by students.
On their site I came across these amazing photos, taken by photographer Laurent Lavedera who is
also an astronomer. Lavender and his wife Sabine took the photos on the beach of Tréguennec, a
spot where the two regularly set up their tripod to snap the lunar disc.

The simplist of ideas are often the best.

At the start of uni I was still quite into illustration, and as the year went on I seemed to
drift out of something I used to love. But this year I want to get back into it, when I have
free time or Im feeling bored, so Im setting myself a task of an illustration a month. Starting
with this illustration I did yesterday.

LFW: The Kooples

Although I didnt get to watch any of the shows, I am so glad I went along to London Fashion Week
just to take photographs. The variation of styles that you saw were incredible! After spending two days photographing at Somerset House the one thing that stuck out to me were the couples. Their edgy individual
styles complimented each other so well they instantly caught my eye and inspired me to do Kooples style post.

London Fashion Week

I recieved a phonecall from a friend on Wednesday night telling me he'd just seen a photo of me
in the Evening Standard. Whilst at London Fashion Week taking photos for my blog, I was photographed
and interviewed by the Evening Standard for my style. Aswell as this article, I am also featured on a short fashion video for Style it light and on various fashion blogs. I wasnt expecting it but I wont complain!

As I have been taking quite a few street style photos over the summer I thought
I would set up a second blog just for my photos. Please follow me on

hope you enjoy!

unbelievable.

How anazing are these self portraits by Natsumi Hayashi? With no use of photoshop, the Tokyo
teenager takes hundreds of photos of herself jumping until she captures a shot that looks like
she is levitating. I have never seen anything like it, to be able to look so natural whilst jumping
mid air is unbelievable.

Spike Comb

I want.

my catbird

I recently came acros these stunning delicate Catbird rings, that you can stack or wear as a
knuckle ring. I completely fell in love with them however as they are quite pricey I thought I would play around  with my own rings. These extremely cheap rings I purchased in Hong Kong were perfect as my fingers are slightly chubby so not all of them fit very well, meaning I could wear them at the knuckle. I think they look quite good and it saved me spending money I dont have! Dig out your old rings and see if could do the same.

the guests.

Whilst at the Harvey Nichols fashion show I thought it would be a great place search
for individual style, luckily for me there was an interesting selection. From bloggers to
memebers of staff there were many different looks for me to photograph.

Vogue's Fashion Night

Thursday night, I attended the Vogue Fashion Night at Harvey Nichols in Leeds. Makeovers,
live music and free wine always adds up to a good night. The fashion show ran from the second
to third floor meaning the models were up and down escalators non stop, which is quite impressive considering some the shoes the models were wearing. Overall the show seemed quite short but there
were some stunning pieces in the collection that will go into my dream wishlist and it was nice to meet
other bloggers.

Skulls

Whilst buying a ticket for the Vogue Harvey Nichols fashion show at the weekend I had a quick browse around the jewellery department which made me realise how happy I will be the day that I can earn enough money to not have to just “browse”. From Alexander Mcqueen to Tom Binns, I was taken by the stunning pieces. The mega trend at the moment seems to be skulls, rings, necklace earings and bracelets all the designers are doing it. Here are a few of my favourites.

the kids are the future

We constantly look for inspiration from the catwalks, vogue and designers but its seems to be that the
kids are what we need to look out for. I came across the last image on a mens style blog and thought it
was adorable, so I decided to have a look and find some more young street style. It turns out he's not
the only stylish youngster around, he's one of many! I suppose as they say you can never start too soon.
